AlignCue

Privacy Policy

Effective 23 July 2026

AlignCue is a posture-awareness app that uses the motion sensors in your AirPods to gently cue you when you slump. We built it to be private by design. This policy explains, plainly, what data is and isn't involved.

The short version

Motion & posture data

When you wear compatible AirPods, AlignCue reads head-position data through Apple's CoreMotion framework to detect forward head tilt. This processing happens on your iPhone, in real time, and is never transmitted or stored on any server. Your posture scores and session history are saved only in local storage on your device. Deleting the app removes them.

Information you enter

Your name, goals, and onboarding answers are stored locally on your device to personalize the experience. They are not uploaded to us.

Purchases & subscriptions

If you buy a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription-management provider to verify and manage your subscription status. For this purpose, RevenueCat processes your purchase history and an anonymous app-generated user identifier. This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID, and it is not used to track you across apps or websites. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

Apple Health

If you explicitly enable Apple Health, AlignCue can write completed focus sessions as Mindful Minutes to the Health store on your device. AlignCue requests write access only. It does not read Health data or transmit it to us or RevenueCat. Removing AlignCue does not automatically remove samples already written to Health; you can review or delete those samples in Apple's Health app.

Apple Ads attribution

AlignCue uses Apple's standard AdServices attribution so we can understand whether an install came from one of our Apple Ads campaigns and whether that campaign led to a subscription. RevenueCat receives a short-lived AdServices token and requests campaign attribution data from Apple for this analytics purpose. The standard integration does not use IDFA, does not require App Tracking Transparency permission, and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Notifications

The current version of AlignCue does not request notification permission or schedule reminders. We do not run a push-notification server.

What we do not collect

Your choices

You can revoke Motion & Fitness access at any time in iOS Settings. You can delete your local posture history from within the app (Settings → Data), and removing the app erases all on-device data.

Retention and deletion

Local posture history remains on your device until you delete it in AlignCue or remove the app. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase, subscription and attribution records under their own privacy policies and any legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell this data. To ask about deletion of the anonymous RevenueCat record associated with this app installation, contact us at the address below. Apple controls App Store transaction records, and Health samples are managed in the Health app.

Service providers

The only external providers described by this policy are Apple, for App Store purchases, Health storage and Apple Ads attribution, and RevenueCat, for subscription management and campaign analytics. They process only the data described above under their own privacy policies.

Children

AlignCue is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
